Abdominal Aorta Sagittal View

Description

With the probe in a sagittal plane (as for the IVC sagittal view) the probe is then angled to the left of the midline to view the abdominal aorta. This view is used to assess the Doppler flow of the celiac artery and the supeior mesenteric artery. These are used to assess the haemodynamic impact of a patent ductus arteriosus.
